The following are memories from people who remember Haiti the way it is.

SODO Hi,
My name is Janine and I remember a long time ago we use go places in Haiti. It wouldn't matter the time at night we felt like there was nothing to be scared of. The people then were really friendly and were not broke like these days and tourism was not a problem. We had a lot of people coming from evevywhere in the world to visit the first black Republic. I've been living in the U.S. for 15 years now and when I hear what is going on in Haiti, on how people are starving and on how the country's economy is moving, I said to myself, I got to find a way to help. I did send money to the poors in Haiti but I doubt that money went to them. Anyway, no matter how long I've been living here, I still remember my country and I still love it.
